FANE began with a practical complaint: Braun and Baudequin wanted bags without oversized logos, distracting hardware or the kind of trendiness that dates on contact. Their answer was a small family of sculptural leather shapes, designed in Paris and made in the Drôme, with enough structure for daily use and enough restraint to disappear into a wardrobe.

Our honest take: FANE is for someone who wants the bag to support an outfit rather than become its headline. The Bra is the most recognisable shape, while Lisse and Mie make more sense if you like a softer shoulder line. If you take one thing away, choose the silhouette you can carry for eight hours, then let the color do the talking.
