Sweta Jain launched Goshwara in 2005 in New York, after a childhood spent traveling with her gemstone-dealer father to mines in Africa and later training in jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The label is built around color first: bold, often unexpected gemstone pairings designed and manufactured entirely in New York.

Jewelry
Jain's background is literally in stones, not just design, since she grew up around the sourcing and cutting side of the gem trade before she ever sat down to sketch a setting. That history shows up as a comfort with saturated, sometimes clashing color combinations that a purely design-trained jeweler might hedge on. This grid leans into that instinct.

More Jewelry
A second grid this size says something about how prolific the house is with colored stones specifically, rather than treating them as an occasional accent. Everything is designed and made in Goshwara's New York studio, which keeps the point of view consistent piece to piece. Expect more of the same confident color mixing, in different settings.
Our honest take
Goshwara earns its reputation honestly: Jain's early years around gem mines and cutting rooms give the color work a specificity that is hard to fake from a sketchbook alone. It is not a subtle brand, and it does not try to be. If you want jewelry that reads as a deliberate color choice rather than a neutral basic, this is the more interesting of the two grids to start with.
