La Fuori was founded in 2019 in New York by designer Vidur Adlakha, trained at NIFT Mumbai and the Fashion Institute of Technology, alongside Riccardo Benedini, a Venice-based dealer in restored antique and modern objects. The label takes its name from the Italian phrase for out there, and it builds collections around hand-sewn, artisan-made textiles rather than a single home base or season.

Dresses
Dresses are the clearest expression of the founders' original pitch: garments built around artisan textile traditions and embroidery rather than a fast production cycle. Adlakha's early collections were named for specific places, like the debut Road to Barmer, and that geographic, storytelling instinct still runs through the silhouettes here. Expect hand-finished detail over minimalism.

Tops and shirting
This is a smaller category for a brand that started as a two-person, textile-first project, and it reads that way: pieces built to showcase embroidery and handwork rather than disappear into a basics rotation. Benedini's role steering the storytelling side of the brand shows up in how considered each piece feels. Not a place to look for plain staples.
Skirts
Skirts continue the same emphasis on artisan construction that defined La Fuori's earliest work, when Adlakha was sourcing fabric and craft techniques directly rather than through a conventional supply chain. The category is compact, which fits a label that has always positioned itself as a small, deliberately unhurried operation. Look here for texture and handwork over trend.
More from the collection
The remaining pieces round out how La Fuori extends its founding idea, treating clothing as a vehicle for craft and travel-inspired storytelling rather than a seasonal drop calendar. It is a young label, having launched only in 2019, so the assortment still reads more like a considered edit than a sprawling collection. Worth a look for anyone drawn to handmade detail.
Our honest take
La Fuori's origin story, an Italian antiques dealer and an Indian-born, New York-trained designer building a brand around artisan textiles, is more distinctive than most labels this young can claim, and it genuinely shows up in the handwork. The tradeoff is scale: this reads as a small, considered operation rather than a full wardrobe replacement. Go in expecting a few standout pieces, not a complete closet.
