Lauren Manoogian's tactile knitwear, soft layers and natural-fiber shapes reward a close look, with texture doing more than a logo.

The tactile knitwear
Lauren Manoogian began with handmade leather jewelry, but a 2010 encounter with a small wool factory in Peru changed the direction of the label. Two sweaters made from leftover yarn became the starting point for a practice now defined by alpaca, merino and cotton. These are knits with enough surface interest to carry a simple outfit, without demanding a complicated one.

Soft structure outside
The rest of the collection moves between coats, satin, cotton twill and a quietly practical pair of leggings. That range reflects Manoogian's studio approach, where natural fibers and useful shapes matter more than a loud seasonal message. Start with one structured layer, then let a fluid dress or soft trouser change the proportion.
Our honest take
Our honest take: Lauren Manoogian is for anyone who thinks a garment should reward touch as much as the mirror. The strongest pieces are the knits, especially when you want a quiet outfit with real depth, while the more polished shapes make sense only if you already dress this way. If you take one thing away, choose the texture you will want to wear repeatedly, then build the outfit around it.
