LolaVie began in September 2021 with one product, the Glossing Detangler, and grew into a full hair-care line. Here is the range, the detangling sprays and leave-ins from other brands, and the glosses and shine treatments for hair that needs to catch the light.
LolaVie: How One Detangling Spray Became a Whole Hair Shelf

LolaVie debuted on September 8, 2021 with a single product: the Glossing Detangler. One product is a brave way to start a brand, and it says something about the point of view. Start with the job people do every day, which is getting a brush through wet hair, and make that pleasant. The name combines Lola, from Jennifer Aniston naming her car after the song Whatever Lola Wants, with vie, the French word for life. She had actually used the LolaVie name earlier, on a fragrance in 2010, so the name was waiting for the right project.
This was Aniston's first venture as a founder, and she oversaw product development, marketing and creative direction. That kind of involvement shows in how simple the line is. The Glossing Detangler is described as a lightweight spray with a vegan thermal shield, lemon extract and chia seeds, and I like it on towel-dried hair before a comb.
The rest of the grid grew out of that first bottle. The Perfecting Leave-In is the everyday finishing layer, and the Lightweight Hair Oil adds gloss at the ends. The Restorative Shampoo and Restorative Conditioner are the wash-day pair, and the Sculpting Paste is the styling product, useful for smoothing a ponytail or defining a few pieces around the face. Start with the detangler, then add one product at a time, so you know what is doing what. If the range feels like a lot, the detangler on its own is a perfectly good place to stop, since it is the product the whole brand was built around, and the one Aniston chose to launch alone.

Leave-ins that take out the knots
A leave-in conditioner is the least glamorous product in a routine and probably the most useful. It goes on wet hair, it stays in, and it makes everything afterward easier: combing, drying, styling and getting through a long day with hair that still behaves.
The others in this grid come in a few flavors. Moroccanoil's Detangling All in One Leave-In Conditioner is made for all hair types, a good starting point if you are unsure what you need. OUAI's North Bondi leave-in conditions, detangles and fights frizz. Fable & Mane's MahaMane is a detangling leave-in, and I would try it first if your hair is long and tangles easily. UNITE's 7SECONDS adds frizz and heat protection to the detangling job.
Two of these lean toward heat. Kérastase's Resistance Heat Protectant Leave-In Styling Cream is made for damaged hair, and K18's HeatBounce is a leave-in with heat protection, useful before a blow dry or curling iron.
My test is easy. After applying, run your fingers through the ends. If they slide through without catching, you have used enough. If they feel sticky, wash and try half next time. Work from the ends upward, since that is where knots and dryness start, and use a wide-tooth comb for anything that still resists. On very tangled days, section hair into four parts first, apply, and work through each section separately, which is slower for a minute and faster overall.

Gloss, shine and a sleek finish
A dull finish can make good hair look tired, and a bit of shine changes that without much effort.
Kérastase's Gloss Absolu High-Shine Anti-Frizz Mask is made for medium to thick hair, and I would use it on wash day in place of conditioner. Pureology's Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Hair Gloss is the color-care option, made to add shine and keep tone looking fresh. Oribe's Royal Blowout Heat Protectant Spray is for sleekness and shine, and it is the one that sits between styling and finishing. Moroccanoil's High Shine Gloss Mask brings the same gloss idea in a deep-conditioning format.
The practical difference is between a mask you rinse out and a spray that stays. Masks change how hair feels for a few days. Sprays are quicker, and Oribe's is meant to go in before you style.
What I would skip: applying a shine treatment at the roots. It flattens fine hair and can look greasy almost immediately. Keep it from the ears down, and if hair feels coated after a few uses, switch to a clarifying wash before continuing. Shine comes from smooth cuticles, not from more product, so a good detangling habit and a gentle hand with the dryer will do as much as anything in the grid above. Try one gloss for a fortnight and look at your hair in daylight before you decide.

A small routine for smooth hair
If you are building from scratch, keep it simple. A gentle shampoo, a conditioner, a leave-in for detangling, and one shine product for the days you want it. That is already a full routine, and it is easier to keep up than a shelf of eight. Reach for the paste only when you have somewhere to be, and let the rest of the week be about comfort and shine.
Detangle gently, ends first, and use the lowest heat that gets the job done. Give any new product two or three weeks before you decide how it works, and switch out one thing at a time. If hair keeps breaking, shedding or feels unusually itchy, a doctor or stylist can help far more than another bottle.
