LOUISE ROE makes home objects that sit between sculpture and daily use, with glass, ceramic and metal doing most of the talking. Founded in Copenhagen in 2010 by Louise Roe Andersen, the studio grew from a fashion-trained eye for complete collections and honest materials made by European craftspeople. The pieces are quiet in purpose but rarely plain in outline, which is exactly what makes them work in a real room.

Vases with a little tension
Louise Roe founded her design company in Copenhagen in 2010 after working across fashion and interiors, and the vases retain that sense of composition. Balloon, Drape and Pirout shapes bring weight, color and irregular edges to a shelf without making the room feel staged.

The table, given a point of view
Roe’s collections are made from materials manufactured in Europe by independent craftspeople, so the tableware has a tactile logic beneath the clean styling. Stainless steel, mouth-blown glass and ceramic move easily from a formal table to an ordinary lunch that deserves better objects.

Our honest take
Our honest take: this is homeware for people who like a room to have one strong sentence rather than ten decorative opinions. The vases are the easiest way in, while the table pieces reward regular use because their drama stays close to the hand. If you take one thing away, choose the object that changes the way you use a space, not just the way you photograph it.
