The Natasha Denona foundation took four years to develop and comes in 52 shades matched to the brand's concealer. Here is the full Hy-Glam base routine, plus eight other glowy foundations to compare it with.
Natasha Denona Foundation, and the Makeup Artist Who Started Backstage

A Dancer Doing Everyone's Makeup
Natasha Denona learned makeup backstage. According to her brand's own biography, her first experience came as a dancer, creating stage looks for herself and the other dancers before anyone called it a career. She was born in Croatia and raised in Germany, worked for years as a makeup artist, and launched her own line in 2016.
Complexion came later. When the brand introduced the Hy-Glam Foundation in September 2025, it said the formula had been in development for four years. The Natasha Denona foundation is a serum foundation with medium, buildable coverage, a radiant finish and up to 18 hours of wear. The brand says it is powered by Japanese amino acid pigments and Korean technology and was developed in Italian labs, with jasmine mother cells and white tea silver needle in the formula.
The shade range is the practical part. There are 52 shades, and the brand says each one is matched to the Hy-Glam Concealer, so once you find your foundation shade, the concealer match is already done. That sounds small until you have spent an afternoon trying to match two products from different ranges.
The first grid is the full Hy-Glam routine, from primer to setting powder and a cream blush. The second grid is eight other glowy foundations I would compare it with, from sheer tints to medium coverage. My tip: press one thin layer in with fingers or a damp sponge, and wait a minute before you add more, because the formula sets on its own.
The Full Hy-Glam Base
Natasha Denona's Hy-Glam Foundation in N2 is the center of this grid. It hydrates and balances oil, and the brand says it blurs without settling into fine lines or pores.
Start with HY-GEN, the primer serum. It is light and dewy and uses SymControl to balance oil, so it suits combination skin that shines by lunch. After foundation, the Hy-Glam Concealer in RN1 is the creamy medium-to-full coverage one, made to brighten and depuff, with up to 19 hours of wear. The Hy-Glam Brightener in B4 is the corrector for under the eyes, with a luminous matte finish.
To set it, the Hy-Glam Setting Powder is translucent and hydrophobic, and the brand says it makes the base underneath waterproof and sweatproof. The Marshmallow Puff presses it in under the eyes and around the nose with its tapered tip, and the Powder Brush is for a light dusting everywhere else.
The Hy-Blush duo in Lush Lila finishes the face. It is a cream blush and highlighter pair with a semi-matte finish that melts into skin for a soft flush.
What I would skip: powder over your whole face. The foundation sets itself, so set only where you shine, usually the sides of the nose and the center of the forehead, and leave your cheeks glowing.

Eight Glowy Foundations to Compare
If you like the Hy-Glam finish, these are the foundations I would compare it with. MAKEUP BY MARIO SurrealSkin is the most reviewed, a luminous medium-coverage foundation with squalane and grapeseed oil that suits normal, dry and mature skin. Armani Beauty Luminous Silk is the natural-glow classic, now with niacinamide, medium coverage and up to 24 hours of wear.
For more glow and less coverage, PATRICK TA Major Skin is light and luminous with three forms of hyaluronic acid, and Hourglass Veil Skin Tint is a sheer tint the brand says boosts moisture by up to 52 percent. Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin is a serum skin tint with peptides and ceramides that works more like skin care.
Fenty Beauty Soft'Lit is the one for humidity. It is waterproof, reduces shine and resists sweat and transfer. NARS Light Reflecting is a medium-coverage hybrid with oat and cacao peptides, made to improve how skin looks over time. Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Aqua Foundation is a lightweight Japanese serum foundation designed for the glow you get right after a facial.
What I would skip: a sheer tint if you want to cover redness, or a medium foundation on a day you only want a glow. Match the coverage to the day, not just the shade.

Built Like a System
I think the Natasha Denona foundation makes the most sense as a system. On its own it is a glowy, medium serum foundation. With the matching concealer, the primer and a light touch of the powder, it becomes a full base made to last through a long day. If you want less coverage, one of the tints in the second grid will feel easier. It is a fitting product from someone who learned her craft under stage lights, where makeup had to glow and hold at the same time.
