Posse

Posse

Danielle Mulham founded Posse in Sydney in 2016 after a trip to Bali connected her with local artisans who taught her linen tailoring techniques, turning a personal wardrobe project into a label. Posse built its name on pared-back, resort-driven separates, the kind of quiet, considered dressing that got a real spotlight when Sofia Richie Grainge wore its Emma vest and skirt at her 2023 wedding.

Tops and shirting

Linen tailoring is where Posse actually started, learned from artisans Mulham met on a trip to Bali rather than from a fashion school syllabus. That origin still shapes the tops and shirting here, which favor easy drape over anything structured. It's dressing built around comfort first, which was the whole point from the beginning.

Trousers and shorts

Mulham has described the label's aesthetic as relaxed rather than overly polished, and trousers are where that idea is easiest to see: relaxed cuts that don't need much styling to look finished. Posse grew out of pieces she originally made for herself, and the fit logic here still reads personal rather than trend-driven. These are built for actual wear, not for a single event.

Dresses

Posse's dresses carry the brand's resort-adjacent instincts most directly, since the label's founding wardrobe was assembled around a Bali trip and the linen pieces that came out of it. The Emma vest-and-skirt set that Sofia Richie Grainge wore to her 2023 wedding weekend is the kind of piece this category is known for. What's here follows that same considered, unfussy line.

Skirts

Skirts round out the same pared-back wardrobe logic Mulham built the label on nearly a decade ago: simple shapes, natural fabrics, nothing shouting for attention. Posse has stayed close to that founding idea even as it's scaled into international wholesale and, as of 2026, a first physical store in New York. These pieces are consistent with that restraint.

Knitwear

Knitwear extends Posse's soft-tailoring approach into cooler-weather pieces without abandoning the label's minimal instincts. Mulham has talked about wanting Posse's customer to feel like a considered, timeless version of herself rather than dressed for a specific trend cycle. These knits are built with that same quieter register in mind.

More from the collection

The rest of the current range keeps circling the same premise Posse launched with in 2016: simplicity, craftsmanship and restraint over anything louder. Nearly ten years and one new West Village store later, that hasn't really changed. This stretch of the edit reflects the label's fuller current offering, category by category.

Our honest take

Posse's founding story, a Bali trip and some borrowed linen techniques, is a modest one, and the label mostly delivers on the modesty it promises rather than overreaching into trend pieces. It's strongest in the categories closest to that original idea, tailored linen separates and easy dresses, rather than anywhere it stretches further. This edit leans appropriately into that strength.
