RUE de VERNEUIL

RUE de VERNEUIL

RUE de VERNEUIL treats the everyday tote as a small piece of Parisian architecture. Founded in 2014 by Vincent Ribat, a former interior designer, the label draws on the American tool bag and the quiet order of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Its appeal is practical rather than performative, with sturdy textiles, leather trim and shapes that make room for actual life.

The Useful Tote, Reworked

Vincent Ribat launched RUE de VERNEUIL in 2014 from his Parisian studio, after working in interior design and collecting luxury luggage. The first collection treated the American tool bag as an urban archetype, then sharpened it with clean lines, structured volume and Parisian restraint. These totes keep that original tension intact: utilitarian enough for a commute, composed enough for a café table.

Our honest take

Our honest take: RUE de VERNEUIL is strongest when it refuses the usual handbag theatrics. The checked tweeds, flannels and canvas bodies give the silhouettes texture without turning them into costume, while the leather trim keeps the whole thing disciplined. If you take one thing away, choose the size by what you actually carry, then let the textile do the talking.
