Sara Cristina

Sara Cristina

Sara Cristina approaches beachwear as a complete language, from the first swim to the last drink after sunset. Founded on Venezuela’s Caribbean coast in 2015 by siblings Sara Cristina Villasmil and David De Lima, the brand pairs clean silhouettes with the color and craft of its coastal upbringing. Bikinis, kaftans and après-swim pieces are designed to move together without looking like a uniform.

Swim, With a Clear Point

Sara Cristina began on Venezuela’s Caribbean coast, where swimsuits were part of daily life rather than a once-a-year purchase. Sara Cristina Villasmil and her brother David De Lima founded the label in 2015, building a line around clean fits, careful materials and a sense of color drawn from home. The bikinis and one-pieces here keep that balance: confident enough to be noticed, simple enough to wear repeatedly.

The Art of the Cover-Up

The cover-up is where the brand’s resort point of view becomes most useful. Silk-chiffon kaftans, pareos and crocheted cotton pieces give a swimsuit somewhere to go without pretending to be a separate wardrobe. Choose the layer by how much movement you want, then let the embellishment make the transition feel intentional.

After-Swim, Still Dressed

Shorts, skirts, tops and light knitwear extend the same idea beyond the shore. Sara Cristina describes its work through craftsmanship and fit, and these pieces make that practical: the silhouettes are easy, but the pearl work, gathered details and metallic textures stop them from looking generic. They are the answer to the question of what to wear when the water is no longer the main event.

Our honest take

Our honest take: Sara Cristina understands that resort dressing is mostly about transitions. The best pieces are not the loudest, but the ones that can survive salt, heat and a late change of plan. If you take one thing away, buy the cover-up you will wear over more than one swimsuit, then build the rest around it.
