Sheryl Lowe started making jewelry as a teenager in 1970s Southern California, then spent decades working as a Hollywood makeup artist on more than thirty films before turning her hobby into a real business after a 2006 favor for California First Lady Maria Shriver. She made fifty five beaded, pave diamond necklaces for a women's conference gift bag, the orders that followed pushed her out of her dining room and into an actual studio, and she still hand-selects gemstones and beads collected on her own travels.

Jewelry
Lowe's whole practice started with beads collected on movie-set antiquing trips rather than a formal design education, which is part of why her pieces read as personal collections more than seasonal drops. The turquoise, gemstones and relics she sources on her travels are the actual raw material here, not a styling reference. This grid is the clearest look at that habit.

More Jewelry
A further stretch of the same eclectic, travel-sourced approach, pieces meant to be stacked and layered the way Lowe has described wearing her own collection. She has spent nearly two decades on jewelry full time since that first surprise order of five hundred necklaces in 2006. It is a range built on accumulation rather than a single defining shape.

Our honest take
Our honest take is that Sheryl Lowe's strength is authenticity of source, actual beads and stones gathered across years of travel rather than a design team's mood board. That personal, collected-over-time approach means pieces can vary more in feel than a house with one signature silhouette. It suits someone drawn to jewelry with a story attached rather than a strict, repeatable house code.
