Stephanie Windsor

Stephanie Windsor, born Stephanie Levy in Montreal, moved to Manhattan in 1987 and got her start working for Norma Kamali at the height of Kamali's 1980s run before later co-chairing design marketing at Parsons. She went on to run her own accessories showroom and was tapped to exclusively curate Barneys New York's antique and vintage fine jewelry and pre-owned watches, a role that shaped the eye behind her own label spanning Georgian through Art Deco periods.

Jewelry

Windsor's authority here comes from years spent sourcing for Barneys rather than designing from scratch, so the collection reads as a connoisseur's edit: pieces chosen for provenance and period accuracy across Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco jewelry. Nothing is reproduced, everything is actually old.

More Jewelry

Because Windsor built her name on tracing a piece's journey, down to attributing a Georgian rivière or identifying a period correctly, the deeper end of the assortment rewards buyers who care about that kind of specificity. It is closer to a private dealer's inventory than a typical jewelry counter.

Our honest take

Windsor's Barneys pedigree is the real thing, confirmed well beyond her own site, and it shows in how confidently the periods are handled here. The tradeoff of buying antique is obvious: no two pieces repeat, so anyone shopping for a specific match should expect to compromise or wait.
