Tibi

Tibi

Tibi is built around a useful contradiction: clothes can be conceptually sharp and still have somewhere to go. Amy Smilovic founded the label in Hong Kong in 1997, later naming its design philosophy Creative Pragmatism, a balance between expression and function. The current wardrobe makes that idea visible through strong proportions, practical fabric and pieces that refuse to stay in one style category.

The Coat Makes The Point

Smilovic founded Tibi after a career in advertising and marketing, and the brand’s practical intelligence has always been part of its identity. These jackets and blazers give the wardrobe a frame without making it feel overmanaged.

Wide Leg, Clear Intentions

Tibi’s idea of Creative Pragmatism is often easiest to understand in the bottoms, where volume and utility meet. The trousers, shorts, skirts and denim are designed to carry a look rather than merely complete one.

Creative Pragmatism, Worn

Smilovic has described her ideal style as chill, modern and classic at once. Shirts, tanks, sweaters and dresses make that balance concrete, with enough oddness to keep basics from becoming anonymous.

Our honest take

Tibi is at its best when the clothes have an opinion but still cooperate with the day. If you take one thing away, pair the largest proportion with the simplest one and let the tension stay visible.
