Eight wide-leg jeans, eight blazers and the loafers that keep it sharp.
Work Fits

Wide legs need a deliberate finish
I have stopped treating wide-leg as a complete fit description. The jeans that work are the ones whose rise and hem make a clear decision, not simply the pairs with the most fabric. CITIZENS OF HUMANITY and Icon Denim give this edit two cleaner routes into volume, while JAMIE HALLER makes the looser proportion feel deliberately relaxed. I would start by trying each with the shoes already in your wardrobe, then sit, walk, and check whether the hem still falls where you want it. A cropped edge can make a loafer feel intentional; a longer break asks for a quieter toe and less bulk under the leg. The top half should stay simple at first, because a bulky knit can turn volume into excess before you know whether the jean itself suits you. This is a silhouette that needs a little editing. I would rather own one pair that works with my actual coats than three nearly identical washes that only look right in a full-length mirror.
